
Dr. Tristan Hopper PhD
Associate Professor URegina Kinesiology and Health Studies & SPHERU Faculty ResearcherTristan Hopper, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Regina. Tristan’s research program is broadly focused on enhancing equity-owed youths’ experiences in recreation and leisure spaces. Dr. Hopper’s work primarily draws on the use of community-based participatory research methods, aiming to build thriving communities and provide an effective support system through co-creation and co-implementing people-centred solutions within a trauma-sensitive, social justice framework. Tristan’s research is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada and the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation.
